These three pieces — Night Loses Memory, Restraint, and Night of Isla Negra — were selected for the Creek Gallery show for the month of July (’14).

Joleen
This is a mixed media portrait of a friend. The painted burlap floats inside a painted wood panel.
Restraint
My first large piece in quite a while, this is a reflection of personal boundaries.
Memory
This small painting titled “Memory” on wood board represents how one’s path is shaded by one’s past actions.
Shadow Sketching
I’ve stepped away from book sketching for a while, but I think it is time to return. I enjoy how much less pressure to work without error. “Woops. Next page!”
VISAGE – Out of the Ordinary Portraits
I am joined by artists Cole Hauschildt, Nancy Merkling, and Angela Swan in an exhibit at the Dole (Lakeside Legacy Arts Park) to share our unique takes on portrait art. Come join us on 9.6.12! http://www.nwherald.com/2013/09/05/first-friday-event-to-feature-portraits-exhibit/ailc2g/?list-comments=1
